I am currently taking an English class right now. My professor had us read an essay on the difference between high school and college. This question is one that I never thought to think of other than that college is super expensive and public high school is paid through taxes.
The text below is what I submitted for a grade. This is only a part of my answer that I submitted but still something for you to think about.
The main difference between high school and college is the thinking process. I briefly mentioned it above, but college professors make you think a lot more than high school teachers do. They make you think in a way that you aren’t used to. I think the best why to explain the thinking process is that high school teacher makes you think about one topic and everything about that topic. College professors make you think about one topic and then, how that one topic will affect other topics that are related to it. From then on it is a constant string of thinking, jumping from one topic to the next. Another major difference is that high school teachers are looking for the correct answer while college professors might call said answer wrong, but will help validate your answer and take time to understand why you thought your said answer was right. They are looking for the correct answer, but also are curious about your ideas on the topic.
So I am posing the question to you guys: What is the difference between high school and college? Please comment below.
